In support of its call for the elimination of all Native American mascots in North American sports, the National Congress of American Indians produced this powerful television ad which debuted during the NFL Superbowl last Sunday.

The issue of using racist, derrogatory names for sporting teams, like the Washington Redskins, was a major issue here in Ottawa as well last year because the former name and emblum of the Nepean Redskins youth football club was the same as that of the Washington Redskins.
