About the author

Together We’re Stronger

The history of Canada has been built on one, simple conviction: that we are not many, but one, not a collection of communities, but one great people, bound to each other by the promise of equality, opportunity and justice for all. That, too, is the conviction of the Nepean Federal Liberal Association.

Our riding association is committed to promoting the core principles and values that have historically sustained the Liberal Party of Canada – individual freedom, responsibility and human dignity in the framework of a just society. We believe that the dignity of each individual man and woman is the cardinal principle of democratic society.

Liberals believe in government as nation-building, and we have the record to prove it: Medicare, the Canada Pension Plan, the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, official bilingualism and multiculturalism, and the best public finances in the world. We summoned up the best in Canadians and together we built the country we love. Become a member of the Liberal Party and help us build a better Canada.

Nepean Liberal Nomination contest All-Candidates debate, June 21st

June 16, 2014

On June 21, 2014, the Nepean Federal Liberal Association will be holding an all-candidates' debate from 3 to 5 pm in the cafeteria of l'École Secondaire Catholique Pierre-Savard (1110 Longfields Drive - Corner of Longfields and Strandherd).

There are four candidates vying for the nomination in the new riding of Nepean. You can help ensure that the candidate of your choice will be the one to carry the Liberal banner in the upcoming 2015 election. This may be one of the few opportunities voters will have to meet all the candidates before the nomination vote, which is expected to take place this fall. Only Liberal Party members will be able to vote in the nomination contest.

This will be a formal debate to discuss issues related to being a candidate, a Member of Parliament and whatever you, as an attendee, want to ask.
