Experimental Lakes - The World's Leading Freshwater Research Facility Needs YOUR Support!

June 1, 2014

Evidence for Democracy announced in March that the Experimental Lakes Area (ELA) was finally saved. It was a happy ending after a long struggle to make sure that the world-renowned research facility remained open.

There is more good news this week - the ELA has opened for the 2014 research season under their new operator, the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD). And, the IISD is currently running a crowdfunding campaign for the ELA to help expand their critically important research programs.

I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the ELA opening for their 2014 research season than by supporting their crowdfunding campaign.

I just made a donation on behalf of Evidence for Democracy - we’re sponsoring a plankton count!

Please join us in supporting the ELA - you can help support the ELA by making a donation or by sharing the campaign with your networks.

Thank you!
