Change is in the air of Ward 5 - West Carleton-March

September 22, 2014

While it is difficult to unseat an incumbent, it is not impossible.  Jonathan Mark's campaign team is finding that the discontent with the incumbent in Ward 5 is very palpable.

Change is in the air - and on the lawns of West Carleton-March.

If one were to travel the 832 kms of roads in Ward 5 - West Carleton-March, one would see hundreds of signs on private property for candidate Jonathan Mark.

It is interesting that the incumbent, Eli El-Chantiry, has no signs out whatsoever.  He has taken out advertising in the local paper to say that it is his policy not to contribute to “sign pollution”.  He maintains that this has always been his policy.  Former Eli supporters, however, tell Jonathan’s campaign that they had Eli signs on their lawns as early as possible in 2010.  One has to wonder if the incumbent’s support has waned so dramatically that he can only rely on public property to put up his signs.

The Carp Fair Board has asked Jonathan to MC the entertainment for the line ups this Friday and Saturday nights.

Jonathan is eager to carry the banner for the residents of West Carleton-March.  Jonathan is a good listener with strong communication skills.  Jon “Gonzo” Mark has had a 25 year career in communications and broadcasting in several markets in Ontario, most recently “The Gonzo Show” at the former 106.9 THE BEAR.

Jonathan has always had lots to say on the radio on the way things were working (or not working) at the City of Ottawa over the last six years.  Jonathan has thrown his hat into the ring garnering tremendous support to make this City a better place for all constituents of West Carleton-March, especially, his wife and three daughters.
