Alberta liquor retailers reject idea of expanding alcohol sales to groceries, corner stores

The provincial government has assembled a panel of MLAs to study the possibility of allowing alcohol sales in grocery stores, following Ontario's move to allow beer, wine and coolers in supermarkets and corner stores starting in 2026.
