Congratulations to the Ottawa Redblacks and team leader, veteran quarterback Henry Burris for winning the 2016 Grey Cup in grand fashion!

Not only did the Redblacks upset the heavily favoured Calgary Stampeders in a classic final decided in overtime, but Burris took matters into his own hands scoring two TDs and passing for one, while completing 35 of 46 passes for 461 yards.

Throughout the year, Burris has had to deal with criticism from Ottawa's sports media and the TSN football broadcasting team about what they deam to be his 'selfish' attitude. Criticism I consider to be unfounded considering Burris' continuing ability to perform at the highest levels even at the age of 41. Even today, the TSN 1200 pre-game coverage was overly critical of a tweet Burris sent to a reporter before the game. I don't know what crawled up their collective asses but fortunately, they were silenced by a great performance by the one man who could make all the difference in the world in this 104th Grey Cup Final.

Burris' focus, determination and overall professionalism was rewarded today with a big victory for a city and fans that have waited 40 years for the chance to hoist the Cup again.

Thank you Henry for bringing the Cup back to the Nation's Capital. We will never forget it!
